CO-FOUNDER

Sam is the co-founder of The Outpost Companies and serves as the Board Chairman of Darcy Partners. Prior to Outpost, Sam worked as an investor at Pacific Lake Partners, the largest institutional search fund investor. Prior to joining Pacific Lake, Sam worked in energy technology investing.

Sam holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Cambridge, and a B.S. in Political Science from the U.S. Naval Academy. Following his graduation from the Naval Academy, Sam served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, working in a variety of overseas roles. Sam lives in Austin, TX with his wife Brittany and son Gus

Phil is the co-founder of The Outpost Companies and serves on the Board of Darcy Partners, an innovation advisory firm serving the energy industry. Prior to Outpost, Phil worked at Bain & Company, where he designed and implemented growth strategies across technology and services firms.

Phil began his career in military intelligence in the U.S. Marine Corps, including deployments to Afghanistan and the Philippines. Phil received a B.A. in Mathematical Economics from Pomona College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Phil lives in Cleveland, OH with his wife Erika, his children Zoe and Sammy, and his trusty 15 years old Australian Shepherd.
